ADEE Online Content Autumn Winter 2020

While the COVID-19 pandemic may have restricted us from meeting in person in Strasbourg this August, we are committed to deliver what content we can to our membership during 2020.

We have worked with our corporate partners, special interest group and workshop chairs, along with our web support team to develop a diverse and we hope interesting online series of webinars and meetings that will be of interest to our members.

In collaboration with our corporate partner Colgate we are delighted to bring the:

2020 FEHDD meeting online.

Following consultation with our members a theme of 'New clinical practice challenges arising from Covid-19 in the clinical education environment’ has been selected for our chaired panel discussion. Following questions and answers with the panel and a short comfort break we will also present to you the Erasmus + Project O-Health-Edu.

ADEE 2020 Excellence in Dental Education Awards

Join Dr Ronald Gorter, chair of the ADEE Excellence in Dental Education Committee, in recognising the 2020 recipients of the Excellence in Dental Education Awards.

Every year ADEE recognises the achievements and the contribution of your international colleagues in three categories, Early Career, Mature Career and Inter/Intra Professional Education. 

This session is open to all members of ADEE institutions but it capped at 500 participants.

ADEE GSK Dentistry in Society Scholarship 2020

Join us on this live webinar session where we will discuss the importance of Dentistry in Society and how COVID-19 can enable and hinder such concepts.

Our chaired panel discussion explores a number of key features of the dentistry in society competence as envisaged within the Graduating European Dentist and how this competence might evolve and be shaped by current trends in public health and wider social issues. The session will also feature presentations from previous recipients of the ADEE GSK Dentistry in Society Scholarship. The award for 2020 recipient's will announced.

Oral Care and Supportive Care in Cancer 

In a time that calls for interprofessiobal collaborative care, its pivotal that the dental students get acquainted both with the oral complication from cancer treatment, but also with the role of the dentist in what should be the multidisciplinary team overseeing the cancer patient’s quality of life. Curricula must be designed in ways that enable future dentists to attain the required competences to manage these patients and work in truly collaborative method.
