Tooth and crown for cementation
#1
STL files for tooth 16 and a crown designed to be cemented on this tooth. These files are intended for use in the training of dental students in the preclinical Prosthodontic course.

Purpose: The STL files provided include:
  1. Tooth 16: A model tooth with a hole that fits into a Frasaco jaw.
  2. Crown: A crown designed to fit tooth 16, which students will practice cementing.
Educational Objectives:
  1. Crown Fitting and Checking: Students will practice fitting the crown onto tooth 16, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
  2. Cementation Practice: Using various cements, such as adhesive cementation with Panavia V5, students will practice the cementation process.
  3. Crown Slitting: Although challenging and with a risk of damaging the tooth, students will also practice slitting the crown.

Materials and Equipment:
  • 3D Printer: Formlabs Form 3. Software: Preform
  • Crown Material: Permanent Crown Resin A3
  • Tooth Model Material: Model V2 (will change to Model V3 due to issues with Model V2)

 Hi Nabilodisho,

Great to get some traction in this forum. your post has inspired me to rethink some of our workflow and become more sustainable. I will download and try this out. Can you tell us which models it fits?
We have a 36 tooth prepped and crown with an over built  occlusal surface we use for occlusal adjustment on articulated models, but if we print the Frasaco compatible tooth and allow them to mount that into their own models we can use them for cementing and removal as well. If i print the crown in white and the prep in model material then we get a colour transition to mimic in part a natural tooth.
I will post the 36 tooth and crown nce i find the tooth file
