Session synopsis:
This presentation highlights how the Virginia Commonwealth University Dental School has developed a more connected, efficient, and data-driven clinical environment.

By implementing solutions for self-dispensing, material management, and laboratory case tracking, supported by technologies such as RFID, we enhanced visibility, strengthened accountability, and improved operational efficiency across multiple departments.

Attendees will learn how these digital solutions reduced manual processes, enhanced inventory accuracy, and streamlined workflows, while enabling real-time tracking that supports both educational and patient care objectives. Practical implementation strategies, challenges, and key outcomes will be shared to demonstrate the broader potential of digital tools in dental education and clinical operations.
