Session synopsis: 
A selection of oral presentations selected by the abstract review panel.

Co-chaired by Prof Julia Davies (Malmo Sweden) and Prof Brian O'Connell (Dublin Ireland) this session focuses on abstracts selected from the assessment and evaluation streams. Each presenter is expected to present for up to 7 minutes and then take questions from delegates for 3 minutes.

Brian O’Connell

Professor of Restorative Dentistry
Trinity College Dublin

Brian O’Connell is currently Dean of Health Sciences at Trinity College, Dublin, with a special interest biomedical education. He co-leads the oral health component of the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA), in addition to research on treatment outcomes and the use of new technology in oral health care. Professor O’Connell is a core member of the European Platform for Better Oral Health, and President-Elect of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).

ADEE Treasurer

Professor Julia Davies ADEE Treasurer from January 2021 - December 2026. She is Professor at the Department of Oral Biology in Malmö University. Sweden. Her special educational interests are assessment in relation to student-centered, activity-based learning and the challenges associated with integration of basic sciences into clinical teaching in the dental curriculum.
