Learning together to improve oral health and quality of life
Nagham Katif
I am currently a Lecturer in Technical Prosthodontics, Sustainability Lead, Chair of the Digital Workflow Teaching Group, and AI Champion at the School of Dentistry at Cardiff University in Wales.
I graduated from the Dental Technology Program at Karolinska Institutet (KI), Sweden, in 2002. After working as a dental technician for four years, I returned to KI to teach at the Dental Technology Program. Following 7.5 years of teaching, I took on the role of CAD/CAM product specialist at DAB Dental AB, where I collaborated closely with the sales team to provide customised digital solutions for dentists and dental technicians. However, I missed teaching and returned to KI in 2016 as a Lecturer at the Dental program. In June 2023, I embarked on a new chapter by moving to Cardiff, Wales, to teach at Cardiff University - School of Dentistry.
My primary interests lie in education, sustainability, and digital workflows. Currently, I am focused on developing the integration of digital technology into both undergraduate and postgraduate programs while also seeking effective methods to embed sustainability practices into the training of future oral health professionals.
