ADEE Strasbourg 2021 online annual meeting

The ADEE Executive in partnership with the Strasbourg 2021 Local Organising Committee announce that ADEE 2021 will primarily be delivered online. In taking this decision at this early stage we hope to remove some uncertainty and to enable members plan their years activities and to submit abstracts and other work for inclusion with immediate effect.

We are conscious that members may be experiencing online fatigue so in devising the online meeting format we actively decided to break away from our normal 3 day format and to distribute our sessions over a 4 month period (May to August). We hope we may still be able to present the August session in person in Strasbourg and if this is the case delegates will be offered the opportunity to attend in person for a small additional fee to cover onsite catering costs etc.

Each session will be between one and two hours in duration, and if you cannot make the live or premier showing they will all be available in an exclusive delegate area for you to access as you desire until 31st Jan 2022. You no longer have to make a choice what SIG or workshop you attend, you can now attend them all live or on demand. So as to enable as many members as possible access the meeting we have also kept costs to a minimum. At just €150 per delegate covering access to all session we feel registration offers members value for money.

For further information please explore the programme and keep an eye out for more updates in March.

25th anniversary of Salud

This year marks the 25th anniversary of ADEE’s long-time corporate partner ‘Salud’. Reflecting on the rich history of this company over the last 25 years, Salud has evolved into a connected health solution which connects technology, disciplines, people, and facilitates a global community for research and sharing best practice.

Today, they have installations dotted across 5 continents, supporting clients in multiple languages as Salud helps to manage millions of patient appointments each year. Salud is constantly evolving to meet and exceed the ever-changing industry needs. Ever prepared to build on what they have achieved thus far by finding solutions to the challenges faced in the dental industry today and making sure that they overcome this global health crisis in good shape.

As they celebrate 25 years Salud has asked us to wish all our members a sincere thank you for your continued commitment to Salud, as they look forward to what the next 25 years have in store.

AMGEN add to our online resources on ONJ

In collaboration with our partners in AMGEN, we are pleased to make available updated resources for colleagues involve in the education and treatment of ONJ (osteonecrosis of the jaw).  In adding to the existing free resources and videos on the topic you cannot also explore and download current material on:

  • Osteonecrosis of the jaw: a guide for patients with cancer or multiple myeloma receiving bone-protective therapy
  • Bone-protective therapy and osteonecrosis of the jaw
  • Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw: introducing the MRONJ prevention algorithm

ADEE is very grateful to AMGEN for making these materials available and we encourage members to explore and use these resources.

Reminder: ADEE Institutional Membership

Institutional membership fees for 2021 are now due. Institution lead contacts will have received their invoice in early January. Immediate payment would be gratefully appreciated so that your faculty can avail of the lower registration rate of €150.00 if their school's membership is not up to date.

The ADEE executives thanks most sincerely those members who have already paid.
