ADEE Strasbourg: Getting there

Strasbourg Airport (SXB)

Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is located approximately 10 KM southwest of Strasbourg. There is a shuttle train that takes you to Strasburg central in 8 minutes and running approximately 5 times per hour. Strasbourg airport. While there are direct flights to Strasbourg from some European airports, for the majority travelling it will require a transit in either Paris Charles De Gaulle or Amsterdam Schiphol. Connection flights to Strasbourg are well connect through Air France/KLM and their code share partners. It is also worth noting that for may the best option may be to fly to CDG and get the TGV train from the airport to Strasbourg.  This booking can be made via Air France. The Dental School is a short taxi ride costing about 10 euro from central station.

EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL)

EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL) is 130 KM from Strasbourg but is well serviced by bus and train connections. As a hub for Easyjet this may offer value for money options for many delegates. From here you can get a shuttle bus to (no 50) central station (Basel SBB) and take the train to Strasbourg.  Travel time from Basel to Strasburg via train is in the region of 1:15 depending on the type of train and connections you opt for. We recommend you book these in advance online (see details below) where you can get fares as low as 10€ each way.  A number of bus operators also offer connection to Strasbourg at very reasonable rates starting from 10€ each way. Be advised that travel time by bus can vary from 2.15 to over 3 hours depending on your selection.

Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (FBK)

Karlsruhe Baden-Baden Airport (FBK) is located approximately 60 KM from Strasbourg. Served by Ryanair, Eurowings, Whizz and other similar airline this may offer a low cost option for many. You can take a train (approx. 1:15 hours) or a bus (similar duration). Fare for both train and bus are less than 10€ each way if booked in advance.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is a final airport option. The regional Lufthansa hub offers flights to almost ever world destination.  On arrival you can take a train or bus to Strasbourg. Again we suggest booking these online in advance. Journey times are in the region of 2 hours.
