ADEE president, Prof Pål Barkvoll at the Council of European Dentists

ADEE president, professor Pål Barkvoll gave a speech about the importance of including oral health in the primary health care programs to prevent oral diseases at the general meeting of CED (Council of European Dentists) in Porto, Portugal.

In today's dentistry, there are still a number of challenges, such as large differences in oral health both within and between countries and in the importance of disease severity and prevalence. In the future, there will be some clear trends that will affect how dental health services are conceptualized and organized, how dental health personnel are trained and how these should be able to provide good health services.
