On Wednesday 26th August as part of the opening plenary session of ADEE 2026 Budapest, Prof Elene Gigineishvili, representing the ADEE Excellence in Dental Education Committee, presented the 2026 ADEE Oral B Intra/Interprofessional Excellence in Dental Education Award to Dr Clement Seeballuck from The University of Dundee, Scotland.
In presenting the award Prof Gigineishvili highlighted that Dr Seeballuck’s passion for collaboration and cocreation makes concepts such as interprofessional education and care natural aspects of his daily work.
She highlight Dr Seeballuck’s work with the student cocreation society, comprising medical, nursing and dental students which focuses on interprofessional education and community support. This has resulted in 100’s of children benefiting from oral health initiatives, cocreation of a Foodbank, CPR training, awareness for skin cancer prevention and workshops for mitigating language barriers. All done interprofessional and in partnerships with schools, organizations and national science centre (Dundee) to educate children under the brand Dental Connect.
The ADEE Board congratulates Dr Seeballuck on his commitment to inter professionalism, be it in practice or education and commends him for his passion for co-creation.
