The board of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) is delighted to offer its draft strategy covering the period 1st of January 2027 to the 31st of December 2030 for consultation. The strategy entitled ‘Consolidation, growth and succession’ has evolved over the last six months through board discussion and contextual analysis. Read more and have your say here. Reminder: Deadline approaching for the 2026 Oral Health Professional Educators’ “Practice Green” or the “Social Excellence” Awards

The Association of Dental Education in Europe (ADEE), the European Dental Students’ Association (EDSA), and Henry Schein are pleased to announce an opening of the call for the 2026 presentation of the Oral Health Educators’ Awards. These awards strive to recognise, reward, and reflect the impactful contributions dental schools and societies are making toward sustainable practices as well as toward meaningful social responsibility and how they were able to drive change. To find out more or may a submission click here. Closing date 30th June.

 

Invitation to contribute to new International Standards for Dental Educators and Trainers

ADEE, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), and the UK Committee of Postgraduate Dental Deans and Directors (COPDEND) invite the dental education community to contribute to new International Standards for Dental Educators and Trainers. The proposed framework recognises the vital role of dental educators and trainers in combining clinical expertise, professional judgement and educational practice to support the development of the dental workforce, and aims to support career progression, quality assurance and the recognition of individual excellence. The online survey is available here and the deadline is the 1st August 2026.

ADEE 2026 Budapest Standard Online Registration Remains Open to 31st July

Online registration for ADEE 2026 Budapest remains open until 31st July 2026. If you are planning to join us, please make sure you complete your online registration by this date to avoid disappointment via this link. Unfortunately, no extensions can be accommodated after 31st July. After this deadline, registration will only be available onsite and onsite registration rates will apply.

 

Reminder: Invitation to Review the DeNTS Framework

The Faculty of Dental Trainers, RCSEd, is updating its Dental Non-Technical Skills Framework, DeNTS, first published in 2019. Non-technical skills are part of “human factors” and include the cognitive and social skills that support safe and effective clinical performance. In healthcare, these skills are recognised as important for improving patient care and outcomes. Colleagues are invited to review the proposed changes and share their feedback through the online survey until the 1st of July following this link.
