Curaden Workshop
Session synopsis:
The session outlines an evaluation of a curriculum centred on individual oral prophylaxis for dental students.

The principal outcome is to modify students' behaviours to ensure they adopt adequate oral hygiene practices and become proficient in preventing periodontal diseases and promoting oral health. The curriculum provides comprehensive training in oral prophylaxis principles, updates biofilm disorganisation techniques, and includes traditional brushing techniques.

Based on scientific principles, it has been shown to be effective in France, Spain, and Italy. It has led to significant improvements in dental students' training and their ability to educate future patients. By integrating interdental hygiene into their daily routines, students will become more aware of the obstacles and strategies necessary for effective oral prophylaxis.

The presentation will provide a detailed account of the curriculum's genesis, structure, implementation, and key findings from its evaluations in terms of relevance, effectiveness, and adaptability. Our goal is to sensitize academic leaders to this innovative approach, including AI support, which can significantly improve dental training and public health outcomes in Europe.
