Call for expressions of interest from those interested in joining the ADEE Executive Committee:
At the 01.01.21 a number of ADEE executive committee slots will become vacant. The nominations committee are interested in hearing from faculty of ADEE member institutions who would like to self-nominate for the role.
Applicants must be from an ADEE member institution, be actively involved in O-Health-Professional education (minimum three years in a tecahing role) and be willing to commit time to their work as an ADEE executive member. They must also have an interest in and understanding of dental education at a European level.
The Executive meets monthly via an online meeting platforms and performs a considerable amount of its work remotely. Executive members will be expected to participate in two face to face meetings (February and August annually). Travel and accomodation expenses are covered by ADEE.
Initial appointments will be for one year so as to gain insight and understanding of the workings of the ADEE Executive and its remit. Members are bound by the ADEE code of practice, ADEE constitution and bye laws.
Interested individuals should in the first instance contact the ADEE office via administrator@adee.org (including a letter of intent and an abridged CV highlight relevant experience). The office will then put individuals in contact with the nominations committee for discussions.
In making recommendations for appointments as well as experience and skillsets the Nominations Committee will take the following into account
- Gender balance
- Regional balance
- Expertise and European standing and recognition
The closing date for receipt of initial expressions is April 30th.
