ADEE Annual Report 2020 published

The General Assembly of ADEE approved the association’s annual report for the year ending 31st December 2020 at its assembly held online on Friday the 27th August. The report is available on the corporate publications section of adee.org and it highlights the key activities, both operational and financial, for ADEE during 2020 and the associations’ immediate response to the COVID 19 environment and its impact.

ADEE Excellence in Dental Education Awards 2021 Announced

ADEE is delighted to announce the recipients of the 2021 ADEE awards who were presented at online ceremonies, kindly supported by Dentsply Sirona. Each recipient was introduced to delegates by Dr Ronald Gorter Chair of the ADEE awards committee, who identified each individuals' achievements and the rationale as to why each recipient was recognised. For 2021 a total of 4 early and 2 mature career educators were recognised.

ADEE GSK Dentistry in Society Award 2021

We are pleased to announce that Dr Mairead Harding and her team at University College Cork, Ireland have been awarded the 2021 ADEE GSK Dentistry in Society award. For 2021 the award had a specific focus on Preventative Oral Health in Society. You can review the online sessions here. ADEE looks forward to following the work of this project at coming ADEE annual meetings and wishes Mairead and the team every success with their planned endeavours.

 

ADEE Oral B Inter/Intra Professional Educator Award 2021

The 2021 recipient of the ADEE Oral-B, inter/intra professional educator award is Prof Sibylle Vital from the University of Paris, France. The award was presented to Sibylle at an online session which you can review here. ADEE congratulates Prof Vital on her work on inter professionalism todate and in the advancement of oral health professionals' education.

 

O-Health-Edu Erasmus + project progressing well

Members will be aware that ADEE is a partner with 9 universities in the O-Health-Edu Erasmus + project which aims to better understand the current state of oral health education within the EU, and to develop a suite of online tools that will support the aggregation, interrogation and presentation of oral health education programme data, and curriculum documents.
