Session synopsis:

Imaging, especially cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), plays a crucial role in diagnosing oral health conditions and is increasingly integral to treatment planning in dental practices. Over the past three decades, substantial efforts have been dedicated to refining digital workflows, particularly in implant dentistry, with the goal of integrating image data for precise, patient-specific treatment planning. However, the complexity of integrating three-dimensional (3D) image data, combined with the need for extensive clinician training and the time-intensive nature of the process, presents significant challenges to fully implementing the digital workflow in dentistry.

In this workshop, participants will explore how artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized the segmentation of dentomaxillofacial anatomical structures and overcoming these limitations. Through AI-driven advancements, highly accurate 3D models of these structures can be efficiently generated, streamlining the treatment planning process. Additionally, participants will discover how AI has facilitated the automation of virtual implant planning by performing an AI-driven virtual implant placement, enhancing precision and expediting workflow. With the aid of AI technology, dentists can overcome the obstacles posed by traditional methods, paving the way for more efficient and effective patient care in the field of digital dentistry.

As this session involves setting delegates up with a user log in and systems access there is a small admin fee of €25 required. Registration will be capped tat 40 delegates.
