The Pesti Vigadó is one of the most prominent historical buildings in Hungary, located on the banks of the Danube in the heart of Budapest. The original building was built between 1833 and 1837 according to the plans of Frigyes Feszl, but was severely damaged in the War of Independence of 1848–49, so the current building was rebuilt between 1859 and 1865, also according to the plans of Feszl. The Vigadó has been the center of Hungarian cultural life since the 19th century: Ferenc Liszt, Wagner and Ferenc Erkel have also performed here.
The renovated Pesti Vigadó reopened its doors in 2014 and has since become one of Budapest's most prestigious event venues. The building hosts conferences, gala dinners, classical music concerts, cultural events and exclusive receptions, combining historical elegance with modern technical equipment.
Today, the Pesti Vigadó is the headquarters of the Hungarian Academy of Arts and a prominent home of Hungarian culture and art. As a protected monument, we preserve its values with special care and respect, while ensuring the dignified organization of the highest quality events with modern infrastructure.
