Session synopsis: 
This workshop is designed to introduce dental-dedicated MRI to its participants. It will be both a primer and workshop focusing on a basic review of MRI physics and applications curated from the existing literature, followed by review of anatomy.

The anatomical review will compare the appearance of anatomical landmarks in MRI to those seen in 2D and 3D X-ray-based imaging. The remainder of the workshop will focus on case presentations comparing intraoral, panoramic, and CBCT results to dental-dedicated MRI elucidating differences in resulting images.

Jörg Vogel has served as Vice President International Sales of former Sirona since 2004 with responsibilities for the markets in Asia/Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, CIS, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Since 2010 he has concentrated on the Asian Pacific and Latin American market and since 2015 on the International Special Clinic Sales worldwide.

Between 1992 and 1997, Jörg Vogel was COO at Draeger Medical Japan and continued his operations in 1998 as COO in Singapore for the Asian Pacific region.

Between 1999 and 2002 Jörg Vogel took over the responsibilities for Draeger Medical as Regional Manager for the whole Asian Pacific region and relocated back to his home town Lübeck. In 2003 Jörg Vogel took over the responsibilities of the Division Manager IT at Draeger Medical in Boston/USA.

Jörg Vogel holds a Diploma of Industrial engineering from University in Hamburg.

Rubens Spin-Neto is Professor of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology and Imaging at the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health, Aarhus University, Denmark. As an academic researcher, he has authored 185 PubMed-indexed publications, receiving more than 3500 citations and has an h-index of 32. His is also affiliated as guest professor at the University of São Paulo - USP, in Brazil, and to Kings College London, in the UK. Rubens has done significant research in diagnostic imaging, focusing on cone beam computed tomography, and more recently dental-dedicated MRI.
