ADEE and our partner Oral Health Professionals' Education Associates attend the WHO Global Oral Health Meeting in Bangkok

ADEE along with our partner Oral Health Professionals' Education Associations from the United States (ADEA), Latin America (OFEDO-UDUAL), South East Asia (SEAADE), Asia Pacific (ADEAP), along with the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) and the International Federation of Dental Educators and Association’s (IFDEA), have over recent months being actively working towards creating a collaborative response to the World Health Organisation's Global Oral Health Strategy and Action Plan.

From L to R: Dr Marsha A. Pyle (ADEA), Ms Jill Rethman (IFDH), Prof Corrado Pagaenlli (IFDEA), Prof Ana Wintergerst (OFEDO-UDUAL) and Prof Brian O'Connell (ADEE)
Colleagues from SEAADE and ADEAP were unable to attend in person due to schedule issues.

This collaborative work reaches a milestone this week with the groups coming together in person to present a side event at the WHO Global Oral Health Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. At this side event the representatives from each association will share regional priorities, challenges and opportunities from an educational perspective. Collectively the associations are passionate to ensure the voice of oral health professionals' education is considered and included throughout the implementation of this Global Oral Health Strategy at regional and national level. The associations hope to deliver open access collaborative resources that members can utilise in supporting their national response to the WHO strategy.

If you are interest in WHO Oral Health Strategy and in particular the WHO Global Oral Health Meeting, you can follow live streams and recordings of plenary session on the WHO website.

The associations aim to continue this collaboration with further updates to issue in the coming months.
