ADEE Hosts Successful Multi-Stakeholder Event on GED Curriculum Framework in Dublin

The Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE)’s Graduating European Dentist (GED) Taskforce convened a diverse group of oral health education and regulation stakeholders for a two-day event in Dublin (5 and 6 of February, 2025). The meeting brought together representatives from educators, regulators, chief dental officers, student bodies, and dental practitioners, alongside European and international organizations focused on public dental health, education, and regulation.

The discussions centered on the GED curriculum framework, exploring its relevance and implementation in a rapidly evolving oral health education landscape. Key insights were shared by representatives from the Dental Council of Ireland, Dublin Dental University Hospital, Cork University Dental School and Hospital, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Dental School, with a particular focus on the Irish experience of integrating the GED framework.
