This is a follow up workshop to the ADEE 2021 session on The Complexity of Assessing Professionalism.
We will aim to set together shared values which define standards and expectations in Professionalism for our students. This will serve as basis for the 2nd phase of the workshop working collaboratively on management of lapses in Professionalism.
Breakout sessions will allow for participants to discuss vignettes illustrating these common lapses.
From the work in the breakout sessions we will establish a shared repository of common lapses in Professionalism and agreed approaches in their management.
- Identify the mission and aim of the ADEE COP in Professionalism
- Summarise and the short, medium and long terms goals and objectives
- Reflect and Discuss existing definition of professionalism
- Collaborate on an updated shared definition of professionalism
- Identify common student lapses in Professionalism
- Identify the differences and shared values in Professionalism and the range of sources of guidance on these values.
- Discuss and Apply management of common lapses in professionalism
