ADEE 2024 Excellence in Dental Education Awards

The ADEE executive extends congratulations to the those who received recognition under the Excellence Awards 2024. These awards are peer recognition of contribution to oral health professionals' education, the mission and vision of ADEE and a commitment to improving the quality of education practices.

ADEE Haleon Preventative Dentistry in Society Awards 2024

During our annual meeting in Leuven two projects received recognition for their efforts to improve oral health in the community. The University of Dundee, UK and the KU Leuven Department of Oral Health Sciences, Belgium. Both projects incorporate a commitment to community improvement, preventative dentistry and inclusion.

We look forward to hearing further updates on these projects in due course!

 

Practice Green Awards 2024

Congratulation to The Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University, Ankara, Türkiye and The Faculty of Dentistry, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary, who were both presented with a 2024 Oral Health Professional Educators’ ‘Practice Green©’ Awards at ADEE 2024 Leuven. Delivered in partnership with EDSA and Henry Schein awards are designed to promote sustainability principles in the education and professional environments of oral health practitioners. In 2024, the application focused on campus-wide initiatives that enable and embed sustainable behaviours and practices in faculty and student populations, as well as encouraging such behaviours in others.

Graduating European Dentist (GED) Consultation

ADEE's GED is currently in the process of a full strategic review. This will see the GED Taskforce engage with key stakeholder identify a meaningful way forward for the GED into 2030 and beyond. As part of the consultation we are inviting ADEE membership and others who use the GED in curriculum development to provide us with key feedback and comment.

We invite you to complete this short survey which will remain open until the end of October for submissions via this link.

 

Reminder ADEE General Assembly 2024

Members are reminder that the General Assembly of Members will be held online on Friday 11th October at 12:00 Dublin time. Further details on how to register and the relevant meeting reports and papers can be obtained here.
